StackTag tag is the name implies is designed, uniquely, to be read as multiple tags which touch, overlap or are in a stack of some form. StackTags use un-tuned coils  so that tag antennas do not interfere. They also use Magellan Technology's IP to ensure that where tags do touch, overlap or are stacked that they can simply be read and written to without difficulty. This functionality is unique to Magellan's PJM technology.


RFID tags touch or overlap in practically all real world situations and Magellan considers stackable technology essential in all RFID applications except where it can be ensured, by careful and permanent positioning of the RFID tags, that no two tags will touch and interfere with each other.
