Each Balogh RFID System has several integral pieces. Each piece of the system plays a vital role in delivery information 100% of the time. The following descriptions will help guide you in finding which products you need for your RFID system.
Control Boards
The Control Board is the central processing unit that handles information being passed from a host device (PLC, Computer, I/O Device) onto a Balogh RFID Tag. All Balogh Control interfaces have been designed for the specific bus architecture it functions on. This means no gateway devices, no passthroughs, and no special software.
* As of 8/1/2009 the BIGE G.E. Genius Interface Module is not available for sale due to obsolete key manufacturing components. *
RFID Transceiver.
The RFID Transceiver (Reader) is the device that passed information from the Control Board onto the RFID Tag. Balogh Transceivers are all solid state devices that are designed to be in harsh environments. Balogh Transceivers power up Balogh tags and allow a full-duplex communication line to occor between the RFID Tag and Balogh Control Board.
RFID Tag
The RFID Tag is a data carrier that can be attached to virtualy any type of surface. The RFID tag has the ability to store upto 32K Bytes of data and be reused over and over again (upto 10,000,000,000 times!). Balogh RFID tags are all passive, meaning they have no onboard power source. All the power that a Balogh RFID Tag needs is supplied by the RFID Transceiver.
Cables
What good is any type of electronic system without proper cabling? Balogh ensures the quality of its systems by suppying a tried and true cabling system for all of its RFID components. These cables have been tested by Balogh's Engineers to ensure quality and reliability.
Hand Helds
Hand Helds give the end user the ability to interigate a RFID Tag at any time they want. This is not only a usefull production tool but a great way to ensure the accuracy of any Balogh RFID System.
