Tunnels come in two basic reader configurations: Single Axis and Multi-Axis.
Single Axis readers have a single antenna residing in the tunnel. These readers are ideal for high speed applications were tag orientation will be constant. Bottle labeling, jewelry tracking, and document tracking would be ideal applications for Single-Axis Tunnel Readers.
Multi-Axis readers have multiple antennas residing inside the tunnel. This allows a tag to be in any orientation inside of the tunnel. Multi-axis readers are ideal for applications were a tag will enter in various orientations. Batch item tracking, pharmaceutical tracking, and high speed collection lines are ideal applications for Multi-Axis Tunnel Readers.
